Excise Tax

Working in conjunction with the CRA, the TIC Excise Tax Committee has developed Export Lists itemizing coverages not presently available from Canadian-licensed insurers, and coverages available from licensed insurers only to Limited Capacity.

Political Action

The TIC remains active in its efforts, along with IBAC and all sister organizations across Canada, to sustain our collective message to MPs and MPPs, which is: Credit granting institutions ought not sell insurance at the point of granting credit.

Connections

Representing the interests of commercial brokers within the industry, the TIC Executive Committee enjoys ongoing working relationships with a number of key organizations and decision-makers, including IBAC, IBAO, RIBO, IBC and many others.
